Stockbridge will unveil a historical marker Saturday at a local restaurant that was a popular meeting place in Henry County city for more than half a century.
Green Front Café, which was known for its hamburgers, hot dogs, cornbread and “soul food” delicacies between the late 1940s until the early 2000s, will be recognized during the 11th annual community celebration honoring the life and legacy of Carrie Mae Hambrick.
The Stockbridge Main Street-sponsored unveiling ceremony will be held immediately following the 1 pm commemorative service for Hambrick at Trinity United Methodist Church. The cafe is at 112 Second Street in Stockbridge
