It seems Frozen Smoke appeared out of thin air in downtown Stockbridge. Housed in the old flower shop at 118 MLK, Sr. Heritage Trail, the restaurant features a healthful menu of smoked meats, tasty sides, and amazing southern-style desserts. The concept is the long-time dream of owner, Warren Washington, who began developing the idea back in college. Warren enjoyed careers in corporate America over the years, but he always kept a side gig in catering. Everything came to fruition when Warren and his wife, Alicia Lowe Washington, decided the “place-to-be” was near the new Stockbridge Amphitheater, amidst the growing vibe of arts and culture.
Frozen drinks and warm smiles
With its elevated soul food menu, and its signature frozen daiquiris, visitors can look forward to a sophisticated dining experience with a modern-south feel. Guests also enjoy outdoor seating and reasonable pricing. Every third Friday, Frozen Smoke hosts business speed dating and live jazz. And, on any given day, one might find concertgoers and good friends. It’s fair to say that Frozen Smoke is a nice addition to Stockbridge’s emerging arts and entertainment district.
